In an effort to make WALL\THERAPY even more accessible to the communities we seek to inspire, we’ll be hosting two special events during the festival. We are working to deepen our engagement with Rochester’s communities through new programming intended to connect Rochester residents of all ages and all walks of life. This year, we’ll also be launching our inaugural conference focusing on Arts and Activism on July 29 followed by a Block Party at the newly launching Kaleidoscope Collective Community Center featuring a performance by Danielle Ponder and the Tomorrow People!

What is happening this year?

After taking a year to refresh and to do research, WALL\THERAPY is back for 2017! Inspired and honored by receiving the CITY newspaper’s “Best Group Improving the Community” for 2015 and 2016, we are energized to expand the project even more, carring the project’s momentum forward to significantly deepen our engagement with the community through new programming intended to connect Rochester residents of all ages and all walks of life.

In addition to our traditional murals, we’ll be working with local groups improving the lives of Rochester’s residents to directly impact even more lives in positive ways. We’ll also be launching our first-ever conference on arts and activism on July 29, followed by a special community music event that same night to cap off a week of art intervention.

Our Fundraiser is live!!
It’s that time of year! The biggest change of note is that we are using Generosity, which is Indiegogo’s platform for non-profits. Everything else will operate the same way as in previous years. We just launched it last week, and we’re already well on our way to our goal!

A Note from Ian and Erich About Summer 2016

A Note from Ian and Erich About Summer 2016

Hello Rochester!

This year has already been off to an incredible start, giving us the chance to bring a taste of Rochester and WALL\THERAPY to our friends in Berlin at Urban Nation. We’re so proud of our crew, bringing our special family vibe abroad and sharing what we do with a whole new community.

This year, as Ian and I discussed future plans, we both felt that it would be good to take a year off from our annual July event, giving our amazing crew a chance to visit other festivals, work on their own special projects, or just simply take some time off to relax! Our core team donates their vacation and personal time each year to bringing WALL\THERAPY to life, and we are so grateful for all that they do. We absolutely could not do this without them!

We do plan on having a few artists drop in on us this Summer, so you’ll still see some WALL\THERAPY happening around the city! Stay tuned to this site and our social media for announcements about our guests. We’ll be focusing most of our efforts this Summer on fundraising, building more relationships with partners, and taking some time to enjoy our awesome city.

Thank you so much for all of your support,

Erich and Ian!
