Range the leader of FUA Krew, Rochester’s oldest graffiti collective, which has been around since the early 1989 and has had members create paintings all over the world. FUA Krew hosts an annual BBOY BBQ day-long festival in Rochester featuring graffiti, hip hop, and dancing. Range has been one of Rochester’s most prolific artists since the 1980s, and the “RANGE TAUGHT ME GRAFFITI” stickers are almost as ubiquitous around town as his stylish burners. Aside from his work on the streets, Range has mean skills as an illustrator and tattoo artist. In 2013, Range painted a mural along the El Camino Trail which features cultural references to his Mexican roots around his burner, including masked luchadores, loteria cards, and pyramids.
